So grateful to be Back in the Booth with the third book in Tracie Peterson’s Heart of Cheyenne series, A Truth Revealed.
I’ve been fortunate to narrate all three books in this series that gives a heart-breaking and hopeful portrayal of the hard times as settlers moved West, the conflicts of both faith and family and the triumph of love and friendship.
A Truth Revealed will be available for readers and listeners on November 5th.

It’s a wrap on Ms. Omela… and what a journey to that last shot.
It’s a gift when someone comes to you with an idea and says they see you in it.. and especially when that person is someone you love as a person and admire as an artist and have a history that started with a Backstage ad 18 years ago and developed into a friendship, various storytelling and filmmaking over time and into collaborative creating…
And even more so when that person gets excited by your thoughts and invites you in to let that idea grow into a story you develop together over texts, emails, google meets, voice memos and videos to each other…
And then writes a script that is exciting and profound and while entertaining, also hopes to encourage thought, discussion and action…
And then when life halts with emergency, sends you nothing but love and support and a “we’ll wait”
I have nothing but gratitude for Lisa Stock, her generous heart; inventive, intelligent, explorative mind; her beautiful artistry, and the time we’ve spent creating.
It’s funny when the whole shoot is the martini shot to the experience.
And indie filmmaking brought its challenges, as it does, but I learned so much about collaboration, communication, creativity, and confidence. And how you need them all to succeed… so many lessons about how to best work together, how to respect each other’s creativity, how to have patience with myself and props!!!, and learn from frustration, how to acknowledge things learned in the past, now implemented, and make note of things to still focus on for next time, and how to quiet those inner voices that often get much louder than the dialogue.
Was inspired, entertained and terrified by Glenn Peters and Thomas Shuman and appreciated the affirming support and craft of Olinah Hassan.
I can’t wait to see what Lisa creates with what’s “in the can”, but what a lovely ride it’s been to bring Ms Omela to life from thought bubble to final frame.
